Interview

The interview, worth 300 points, is the last stage of the selection process. Nearly twice as many candidates are invited for Interview as the number of vacancies.

You can consider Interview as the last hurdle to be crossed. It is basically a personality test. All the candidates clearing the main are eligible for appearing for the interview. The basic nature of question is generally not academic.

The contemporary events are the major area from where questions are generally asked to the candidates. The confident, straightforward, sincere aspirant with the clear vision forms the major choice of selectors. The extreme of these qualities are also negative. The balanced physical, mental & psychological personality makes it to the final list of successful candidate.

The main exam score and the interview determine the placement in the final list. The whole process of selection in the civil services takes a full year. It sums up to 18 months in all, when the application process is included.
