Human Aspects of Geography
Demographic attributes locational characteristics of human settements and related issues; and Paradigms in Geography – both ideological and methodological.

Test – III 28th July

Physical Aspects of Geography (Part – II)
Hydrospheric and Biospheric components; Ocean movements; Water properties; submarine relief biomes; and biodiversity and related issues.

Test – IV 4th August

Economic and Regional Geography
Resource Distribution; Economic Development (Agricultural/Industrial); Regional planning & Development; Strategies; Regional imbalances; and Food Security.

Test – V 11th August

Models, Theories in Human Geography
All the models and theories with their respective applications.

Test – VI 25th August

Paper–II Physical, Demographic Settlements of India
Monsoon relief; Resource base (both mineral, energy); Demographic attributes; Census 2011; Social and Cultural aspects; and Health indicators.

Test – VII 1st September

Economic Aspects of India
Agriculture characteristics, planning, prospects and problems; Nature of Industrial growth; Central Public Sector Enterprises; SSIs; and Infrastructure developments – its role in inclusive growth.

Test – VIII 8th September

Regional and Political Aspects of India
Decentralized planning, backward area planning, rural development; and Geopolitical aspects in Global, regional and international perspectives.

Test – IX 15th September

Contemporary Issues
Entire domain of physical and human elements with contemporary significance.

INSTRUCTIONS

  • The fee for TSP optional is Rs 8500/- (incl. Service Tax) to be paid in cash.
  • Fee once paid is not refundable or adjustable under any circumstances.
  • The tests are scheduled on Sundays.
  • The test timings are : 7:00 AM – 10:00 AM (Discussion: 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM)
  • and
    2:00 PM – 5:00 PM (Discussion: 5:00 PM – 6:00 PM)
  • The time of the preferred batch will not be changed under any circumstances.
  • Three hours test will be followed on by an hour of discussion.
  • The model answer to the tests conducted will be provided the same day.
  • Evaluated answer sheet will be returned in the subsequent test.
  • All the tests of Paper–II will include a compulsory map question.
  • The map book containing last 41 years of map items asked in exam will be provided to the students.

Test - 4 Complete Physical - All aspects of physical environment, with their interrelation, Biomes, biodiversity, climate change and related issues

Test - 5 Population Settlements Thought - Deomographic attributes, locational characteristics of human settlement, Population and food security. Human development and related issues, paradigms in Geography-both ideological and methodology.

Test - 6 Economic Geography - Resource distribution, economic development ( Agriculture / Industrial), Regional planning and development Regional imbalances, strategies, Growth pole concept, its implications, all models and theories of human geography and its application
