Why Join Direction

For all Civil Services Aspirants -Geography is the optional which holds the key to your success!!

The discipline of geography for ias is distinguished by its emphasis on observation and analysis in a spatial context. Any phenomenon that is expressed through the dimension of space, therefore, may be and probably has been examined by a geographer. Yet there are new areas of study emerging every day for scholars, making the study of geography quite broad and inclusive. The result is that geographers typically have close ties to many other fields of inquiry, not only in the social sciences, but in the humanities and natural sciences as well. This clearly gets reflected in the changing trends of questions.

Geography, like all academic disciplines, has its own nomenclature and terminology. Those learning about the field for the first time may be bewildered by the many specialized terms and concepts that geographers use. But it is the very diversity of geography that gives the discipline depth and strength, and allows us to think in integrative and complex ways about the myriad spatial processes we encounter on a daily basis.  As can be related to the massive overlap of GS and geography .Almost everyone carries a “mental map” that allows us to organize the world into an order that we recognize and expect—we are by nature all geographers.

Self Studies Vs Coaching
Self Studies

One of the huge questions in front of aspirants is to decide whether to go for self-study or coaching. Self-study is a very good option for every student because without self-study it is very difficult to clear any examination. The main reason behind this thinking is coaching also involves a remarkable amount of self-study.

Another reason to go for self-study is the confidence factor involved in it. Successful self-study may give aspirant an incredible amount of confidence to deal with any kind of examination syllabus.

Further we have to understand one more thing quite clearly that self-study or coaching is not the sole deciding factor as far as success in professional examination is concerned. There are many students who have cleared their exam by self-study or by coaching. So the main decisive factor is honest efforts and commitment towards preparation and nothing else.

But self-study is not time consuming affair in the lack of proper orientation and guidance; it largely fails to generate desired results.

Coaching Combines Consulting and Guidance

Coaching advises individuals, help develop their capacity to set and manage goals and discover their own path. Moreover it helps in timely explorations of individual subjective challenges and requirements .

Five point support provided by Coaching:

  • Shares skills, knowledge and expertise

  • Minimize problems and enables to tackle those that remain

Why Join Direction

A frequently asked question is whether aspirants should join a coaching center? Coaching centres help develop the discipline of regular studies by making you attend the classes regularly. The instructor also gives direction to your studies by giving you opinion about the answers written by you.

Coaching centers also provide a platform for aspirants to meet like-minded students with whom you can debate and discuss topics. However, choose the coaching institute with care. The centre must have competent instructors, which are knowledgeable enough to guide you in your preparations.

Since its inception, Direction has come a long way in promoting the Civil Service aspirants to climb the ladder of success. Our institution is a private independent institution dedicated entirely to the encouragement, support and patronage of learning through fundamental understanding across the wide perspectives of the study.

We offer future civil service aspirants core guidance in Geography and General Studies.

Why Geography

Geography is the discipline that explores and examines Earth's landscape, people as well as the dynamic and diverse relation between people and their environment. As a scientific field, it is devoted to the study of processes that leads to formation of landscape, climatic system, oceans, and ecosystem. Additionally as an applicable field, it is devoted to demographic economic aspects of study.

It is this multidisciplinary and contemporary nature of the discipline that makes it overlap with General Studies majorly (approximately 350 marks in Main and 3 topics of GS Prelims). Its scientific nature makes it compatible for students coming from any educational background. It is the simple reason that everything existing and happening around us is related to this discipline that makes it an absolute example of most preferred discipline.
